The Tangled Thread, L3C, is a mission-driven business dedicated to reducing textile waste by reclaiming materials from the LA Fashion District, estate donations, and industry closures. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and agree to the following

1. Unknown Origins & Composition The majority of our inventory consists of "deadstock" (surplus) and "vintage" materials. Consequently:

• We often lack manufacturer documentation regarding the exact fiber content, manufacturing date, or chemical treatments (such as flame retardants or dyes).

• Any identification provided is based on professional experience and/or field-testing (e.g., burn tests). These are estimates and are not guaranteed for accuracy.

2. "As Is" Sales and Warranty Waiver In accordance with Utah Code § 70A-2-316, all products are sold "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS." The Tangled Thread expressly disclaims all warranties, including:

• The Implied Warranty of Merchantability.

• The Implied Warranty of Fitness for a Particular Purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the goods is with the buyer.

3. Safety & Regulatory Compliance

• Infant Sleepwear: Our fabrics have not been tested under the Federal Flammable Fabrics Act. Customers should assume that NO fabric sold at The Tangled Thread is suitable for infant sleepwear or children’s products requiring specific flammability ratings.

• General Use: It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the finished product made from these materials complies with all applicable safety laws and regulations.

4. Flaw and Cutting Policy We strive for transparency regarding the condition of our reclaimed goods.

• Defect Handling: If we notice a flaw during processing, we typically discount the piece or cut around the defect.

• Extra Length: To further protect our customers, we provide a "buffer" by cutting fabric a few inches longer than the requested yardage to account for potential minor defects we may have missed.

• Finality: Due to the unique nature of vintage and deadstock items, all sales are final
